Suggested Itinerary
Day 1 Adelaide to Robe (3 hrs)
Head South from Adelaide on Highway A1 and M1 towards Tailem Bend. Continue southwest to Meningie on Highway B1 and soak in the views of the scenic coastal drive. Continue south and you will reach the town of Kingston SE, home to 18.2m high Big Lobster “Larry”. Then head down via Highway B101 to Robe, a popular seaside town known for its crayfish.

Day 2 Robe to Mount Gambier (1 hr)
Follow the coast down to Beachport to find the longest jetty in Australia. Drive along the Bowman Scenic Drive for the spectacular views of the rugged coastline and take a dip in the Salt Lake - Pool of Siloam. Enjoy a unique Wagyu Beef tasting at Mayura Station in Millicent, where full-blood Wagyu cattle are bred and raised. Depart for Mount Gambier via the scenic Woakwine Range Wind Farm – the largest wind farm development in the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 3 Mt Gambier to Penola (30 mins)
Mt Gambier, South Australia’s second largest city, is home to the famous Blue Lake, where you can also join the Aquifer Tour to see it up-close. Travel north on Highway A66 to the famous Coonawarra wine region, where its rich terra rossa soil is responsible for great red wines, and sample some of Australia's best cabernets.

Day 4 Penola to Adelaide (4 hrs)
Continue north on Highway A66 to Naracoorte (30 mins). Join a guided tour or adventure caving to explore the impressive World Heritage Naracoorte Caves. Travel on to Padthaway, known as a classic Chardonnay region. Drive through Keith and onto Highway A8, passing through Coonalpyn and Tailem Bend. Return to Adelaide via Highway M1, followed by A1 and Glen Osmond Road.

Day 5 Adelaide & Glenelg
Spend time exploring the city and its popular seaside town of Glenelg. Shop at Adelaide Central Market and Rundle Mall, take a behind-the-scenes tour at Haigh’s Chocolates Visitors Centre or swim with wild dolphins in Glenelg. |
