Suggested Itinerary:
Day 1 Melbourne to Phillip Island (2hrs)
Leave Melbourne on the Monash Freeway (M1) to connect to the South Gippsland Highway. Turn off at Bass Highway and continue to Phillip Island to enjoy the spectacular nature and wildlife here. Enjoy the tempting treats at Amazing World of Chocolates, optical thrills and illusions at Amaze N Things, being up close with a colony of Australian fur seals and the nightly magical parade of little penguins. Overnight: Phillip Island.
Day 2 Phillip Island to Mornington Peninsula (1.5 hrs)
Leave Phillip Island via Bass Highway to connect to South Gippsland Highway and then onto Moorooduc Highway via Tooradin Road. For more spectacular coastal scenery, travel along the Nepean Highway to enjoy the Mediterranean jewel-like bays, rugged surf beaches and lush bushland. This region boasts of fabulous winery/golfing tour experiences, as well as great eco-tourism, adventure and wildlife. Overnight: Mornington Peninsula
Day 3 Mornington Peninsula to Melbourne (1.5 hrs)
Leave the region via the hourly Sorrento to Queenscliff passenger car ferry and return to Melbourne via Geelong and Werribee. Overnight: Melbourne

Day 3 Mornington Peninsula to Great Ocean Road (2 hrs 45 mins) Combine Melbourne’s South East Touring Triangle with Great Southern Touring Route using the passenger car ferry to ply between Sorrento and Queenscliff. Overnight: Apollo Bay
